FIFERS! here's a great opportunity to make your feminist voice heard:

If you're interested in becoming a Cavalier Daily Opinion columnist, the
deadline to apply is this *Friday, February 1*. To try out, submit two
700-800 word columns, one on a UVA topic and another on a topic of your
choice, to the Cavalier Daily Office in the basement of Newcomb Hall. An
envelope for submissions has been posted on the office door. It helps if
you include a cover sheet with your name, year, email and phone number.

As I've mentioned to many of you, TBTN changed my outlook on life, feminism, and organizing--and now it's your turn! If you're skeptical about your abilities or need some guidance, just email FIFE and say "I need help!!" and we will work to guide you to the best position for your interests. Pro-Choice Lobby Day in Richmond, January 31st

After years of playing defense to defeat up to twenty bills each session, we are finally on the offense with an unprecedented prevention agenda! This year we are backing initiatives to involve parents in Family Life Education programs, define and protect birth control, and provide mental health resources for women at risk for perinatal depression. Join us to advocate for reproductive freedom in the Commonwealth. No experience necessary – training is provided. Buses will leave from Charlottesville at 7:45 and return promptly at 3. Students may choose to drive independently and leave at any point throughout the day if they prefer. Below is our schedule for the day:

- Lobby Legislators
- Pro-Choice People of Faith Gathering
- Lobby Day Rally
